How to Enter

the 2024 awards program

The Australian Tourism Awards and Canberra Region Tourism Awards have always been about celebrating the hard work, resilience and dedication made to create quality tourism experiences. Businesses continue to face many challenges, with some similar and some different across the states/territories and sectors. This year’s awards program will see us continue to celebrate excellence, to reward business innovation and exceptional customer service, as well as championing the resilience of our industry.

A consumer element will apply to the judging process, and we are pleased to announce that the 2024 program will continue to incorporate a more encompassing scoring system where various elements, including consumer reviews, will contribute to the overall result.

Results

The results of the Canberra Region Tourism Awards are announced at the event held in November. Winners and/or commendation recipients may not be awarded in every category on the evening. This is dependent on the scores achieved by entrants. Winners in categories 1-26 at the Canberra Region Tourism Awards then go on to compete as finalists at the Qantas Australian Tourism Awards.

JUDGES’ DECISION

All submissions are independently scored by three members of the judging panel. Results are correlated by an independent auditor and Chair of Judges and an agreement reached on the winner with the judging panel. An agreed minimum score must be determined for a winner or commendation to be announced in a category. A single entrant category does not guarantee the entrant as a winning entry.
