Assessment process

Awards are assessed with consideration given to 3 key elements;

1. Submission (uploaded to eAwards portal)
2. Judges site visit (for relevant categories)
3. Two visitor experience appraisals (for relevant categories)

The weighting is as follows for each category:

Categories 1–2, 5–7, 9, 11–13, 16–26:
1. Submission (60 percent)
2. Judges site visit (20 percent)
3. Two visitor experience appraisals (20 percent)

Categories 8, 15, 27:
1. Submission (80 percent)
2. Judges site visit (20 percent)

Categories 3–4, 10, 14, 29, 30:
1. Submission (100 percent)

Category 28:
1. Two visitor experience appraisals (100 percent)

(Note: This is subject to change. All entrants in a category must be suitable to be mystery shopped in order for the Visitor Experience Appraisal score to count in that category).
